Greenwich Orchids in Bedford Hills

Bedford Hills, NY – A little over 30 years ago, Greenwich Orchids’ owner Wendy Siegel received her first orchid. “My late husband bought me my first orchid and I was so excited when I got it to re-flower. I started raising orchids in my basement until the basement was overcrowded with them,” said Siegel, who lives in Bedford. Siegel and her husband then built greenhouses and became orchid suppliers for florist up and down the East coast. In 1981, the couple launched their first floral and home décor boutique, Greenwich Orchids in Greenwich, CT.
